IREX Community Exchange Program 2025 in the USA (Fully Funded)

to apply for the IREX Community Exchange Program 2025. CEE is a year-long
program and will be held in the United States of America. The CEE program is
fully funded by the US government through the IREX platform.
Applications are invited from young leaders
aged 21-27 from eligible countries to participate in this community exchange
program. The host organization covers almost all program-related expenses,
which include J1 visa support, airfare, monthly allowance. and health

Location and duration
This is an annual community exchange program in
which selected participants spend 3 months in the United States of America.
Program components
Three months of practice in the USA
The host organization connects fellows from
Central and Eastern Europe with civil society organizations, where designated
supervisors will support the fellows for 3 months and provide them with
practical experience.
Leadership and Engagement Academy
Fellows will explore program topics through
interactive professional coaching, mentoring, training and global networking
Community project
Under the supervision of an American host and
mentors, you will work on a community engagement project that they will
implement in their home countries when they leave the US
Exchange community projects
The host and CEE experts will travel to the
colleagues' home country and work together to implement your project in their
home countries

A monthly stipend to cover the cost of housing,
meals, etc. in the US

Who can apply?
Young leaders aged 21-27 are eligible to apply
Applicants must currently live and work in
their home countries
Flexibility is provided to applicants living in
other countries with refugee status
Have at least 2 years of experience working on
civil society issues
Must be available for travel to the US in 2025
Eligibility to receive a J-1 visa
They committed to return to their home country
after completing the program
Language requirement
Semi-finalists must pass the Duliongo language test.

Who can't sign up?
US citizens are not eligible to apply
Individuals who are in the US for research,
education or training are not eligible to apply.
Applicants who have previously participated in
a US government sponsored program
They applied for permanent residence in the US
Applicants working outside their home country
unless they have refugee status.
