The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAECI) is pleased to announce that applications are open for the Italian Government Scholarship (MAECI) 2024-25. The MAECI scholarship is intended for international students and Italian citizens living abroad. The scholarship is intended for students to study master's and doctoral degree programs at Italian public universities. Through this scholarship, the Italian government aims to promote the Italian language and culture. The scholarship is open to citizens from 139 countries. Many more countries have been added to the list this year.
The scholarship will be awarded for a period of 9 months. The aim of this scholarship is to financially support those students who cannot afford the expenses. The scholarship includes a monthly stipend, tuition fee coverage and health insurance. Scholarships are offered for four different degree programs: Master's degree, Higher Education courses in Art, Music and Dance (AFAM), Ph.D. program and research under academic supervision. Eligibility criteria
Applicants applying to the master's degree program must have completed their bachelor's degree.
Age 28 or younger at the time of application for the master's degree program
If you are applying for a doctoral program, you must not be over 30 years old at the time of application.
The applicant must be able to demonstrate their English language proficiency from IELTS or any other language certificate such as English language proof.
