UNICEF Junior Professional Officer Program 2024-25 (JPO) (Fully Funded)

Apply to the UNICEF Junior Professional Officer Program (JPO). The JPO program is offered to young professionals at the entry level (P-1 and P-2) to gain hands-on experience in international development and launch a career with UNICEF. Junior Professional Officers (JPOs) are permanent employees of UNICEF for a period of 2 to 3 years. After completing their assignment, JPOs continue with UNICEF as regular employees. The level of the JPO position is comparable to International Professionals (IPs).

All junior professional officers will receive compensation and benefits such as tax exemption, family allowances, relocation allowance, rental subsidy, leave and vacation, health insurance, retirement benefits, etc. Applicants with one year of experience in the relevant field of UNICEF are eligible to apply. UNICEF Junior Professional Officer Program (JPO) Requirements

JPOs are for fixed-term contracts for a period of 2 to 3 years.

JPOs are eligible for International Professionals (IPs).

JPOs are entitled to compensation, benefits and allowance.

An applicant can apply if he is a national of the donor country (several countries sponsor nationals from developing countries). You can check the list of developing countries on Google.

Applicant should be under 32 years of age.

Applicant must have completed an advanced or bachelor's degree.

We require a minimum of 1 year of experience.

Tax Exemption: Salaries provided by the United Nations to staff are generally tax exempt.
