Professionals Program 2024 (Working with the UN)
Want to start your career at the UN? Today we are here with a program that can be the gateway to start your career at the UN. Call for Applications for the UN Young Professionals Program for Session 2024. YPP applications open in June each year to talented, highly qualified applicants from participating countries.
For those who don't know about the program, the Young Professional Program is actually a recruitment drive for talented applicants who want to start their careers at the United Nations as International Civil Servants. The program consists of entrance exams and professional development successful applicants begin their careers at the UN.
To be eligible for the YPP programme, you must have at least a first degree in a field relevant to the exam. The program is specially designed for applicants from countries that are not or are not represented in the UN.
Successful candidates will be offered a two-year contract, renewable upon satisfactory performance. Placement is done at P-1 and P-2 levels, which we will discuss later in this post. To learn more details about the YPP re-rating, please review the information below and log in.

Eligibility Criteria:
Nationality: Open to nationals of participating countries
Education: Applicants with a bachelor's degree are eligible to apply
Age: Applicants must not exceed 32 years
Language: Fluent in any official UN language (e.g. English, French)
Test areas
The examination would be held in the areas of Human Rights, Humanitarian Affairs, Political Affairs, Human Resources, Management and Analysis, Administration, Finance and Budget.

The program application process is online, all applicants must read the eligibility criteria carefully before applying for the position. The application period opens in June, you can find a job position specific to the exam area in the Inspira job search function.
